MY GREAT POLITICIAN'S DOWNFALL

Lights, camera, action and you were my role model,
A man honored by the common mwananchi,
A man given face-lift by high regard,
But those days are now gone deceased,

You changed a miss we expected of you is now no more,
As a leader what we expected of you is now no more,
You stood but for personal value,
We no longer esteem you nor rely on you for anything,

My praise is no more at length,
As you proved ill to be stronger than strength,
Surely some men are wise and some are otherwise,
One sooner fell than rose but you still compromised,

Am sure if your likes were swept dry,
You'd utter, 'never say die! Up man and try',
But your efforts were shuttered down and you never did pry,
And guess why, you found yourself in a deep fry,

Though your race stands firm in prosperity,
Showcasing your culture with immunity,
You overlook the common man's ridicule on your dignity,
And you are still on the run for the city.
